The common intubation head has one or two cuff, which can be used to fix the intubation and seal the airway after inflation, or without cuff. The intubation tube body is usually made of high polymer materials, and steel wire coils are embedded in the tube body to improve the radial strength and axial flexibility. Some intubation tubes are made of laser resistant materials or layers to resist laser irradiation. It is an endotracheal tube inserted into the patient's trachea through nose/mouth or skin. The distal end of the catheter has an inclined opening.

A cuff like inflatable cuff is attached at the distal end.

The proximal end is provided with a connecting pipe connected with the respirator.

The cuff is connected to the test small airbag by a small catheter to understand the expansion, contraction and inflation pressure of the cuff.

Murphy side hole is located on the side wall far away from the cuff of the distal endotracheal tube. Its purpose is that when the oblique opening of the endotracheal tube is stuck to the tracheal wall, the breathing gas can be transferred to this side hole for inlet and outlet.
